Diana asked this question about The Dark Prophecy (The Trials of Apollo, #2):
Is anyone else hoping more than anything that Reyna becomes one of the main characters not only for this book but the rest of the series? I mean, come on, the girl is beyond awesome! Yeah, she's a prayer or and has responsibilities in New Rome, but hey you never know!
Stellenbosch yes! That would be a kick ass series, and a whole litany of books written in the voice of a female character? That would be beyond awesome. Riordan us…moreyes! That would be a kick ass series, and a whole litany of books written in the voice of a female character? That would be beyond awesome. Riordan usually writes series with males as the main character (Percy, Apollo, Magnus, Carter and Sadie share the billing but most of the series was Carter's POV- heck we began with Carter's amazing life with his dad!)
I would love love love to read more about Reyna, heck she has two dogs, the blessing of Athena, the Horse friend, an Amazon Queen for a sister, A son of the underworld for a best friend, the whole Twelfth Legion to look over, where on earth would you get a better legacy than that? Not to mention her past in San Juan, Circe's island, the pirates, growing up with Lupa (and I'm assuming she had some serious moves as a legionnaire to merit praetorship.) This girl deserves more love Uncle Rick!
I was hoping that she had a part in Book 2 of the Trials of Apollo (and keep looking for clues) but alas, we have to wait another year for book 3 and it just seems too cruel. Ave Reyna!(less)
