How do you get inspired to write?

Amy Difar I think about my characters when I lie down to sleep. I am a very restless sleeper, so the dialogue and questions I thought about roll around in my head and I usually have something I want to put down on paper by morning. I find dog walks are good times to mull things over, as well. The longer I think about the dialogue, the more compelled I am to pour a cup of coffee, put on some music and start typing.
