Is this book "child friendly" or close to it like Warrior Cats or is it aimed at adults or Young Adults like the book Watership Down?

It's certainly not intended for children, any more than Watership Down was, but it will make children think, which I would argue is what you want. In my view, it's perfectly appropriate for mature early teens or older.(less)
