Frances Britten
Frances Britten asked Stephanie Patterson:

I LOVED "A Terrible Beauty," it was a great story and I'm looking forward to Katherine's story. However, the Kindle edition I purchased had so many errors and typos it became distracting. I found myself making mental corrections before I could move on. How can this be avoided in the future?

Stephanie Patterson Hi Frances,
Thanks so much for your question and for your patience with a stumbling writer :) One of the issues was an vastly inferior word program that would supposedly catch the virtually all mistakes, typos, etc. Well, we can see how that worked, can't we? That particular issue has been resolved, thankfully. The other solution will be to have more neutral eyes complete the final edit. I suspect most writers find the same problem. We are so used to the words being in our heads that we automatically see them correctly on the page whether they are correct or not. It's a poor excuse, I know. I've located a couple of terrific editors to catch those mistakes in the future. I'm so glad you loved the book despite those blasted typos. They are distracting. Again, thank you so much for your patience with Belle's story. Right now Katherine is having quite a time in Yorkshire and not always in a good way! I'll keep people posted on when to expect Book 2. I promise the editing will be much better.
