What made you write The Great Hunt? Will there be more Grimm retelling?

Wendy Higgins Hi Alexandra! I had just finished my Sweet trilogy and I couldn't come up with any new book ideas. So I started reading my copy of the Grimm Brother's Tales. When I came across "The Singing Bone" story, I was immediately enthralled by the first couple paragraphs and started getting visions of a princess and hunters and a beast. By the end of the week I had a synopsis written and a story world planned in my mind. :)
I do not plan to write more Grimm retellings, at the moment, though.

Being a writer is what I want the most in this world, nothing makes me happier than writing, but I'm more and more frustrated with each passing day, because I've been blocked for 3 years.
