I have yet one more question about "Might there be a story someday about X character?" I feel like Tej has so much more to say. I'd love to see what life is like from her point of view once they *do* make it back to Barrayar. Eventually. (And I suppose Ivan's too, the big goof.)

Yes, the Vorkosigan series does seem to have this property that I've dubbed "spawning fractal sequels". Any number of my minor (and major) characters seem to have lives that extend off the edges of the pages, and implied stories of their own. I do not have the ability to spawn fractal clones of myself to write them, alas. (And if I did, the clones might just as well prefer to go off and do something else altogether; see, "Mark".) So, no hope there. I'm afraid you all will have to use your own imaginations for these.

I'm 66 and have been diagnosed with macula degeneration. I've begun listening to audiobooks to allow my eyes to rest. I'm not sure what I'll do as a writer, however, if my eyesight fails. You've mentioned some eyesight problems, too, Lois, and I wonder if you've tried any software to help writing that is not so taxing on your eyes? Have you tried dictation software, or other helps?

[SPOILER FOR KNOT OF SHADOWS]
As I read about murder miracles (er, “death miracles,” sorry, that was a spell…ing mistake), I wondered what would happen in some specific—but not exceedingly rare—situations.
... Darnit. I wrote my question in Word, but it's too long, I can't paste it here. I put it there instead:

Hi Louis. Typos in Knot of Shadows at page 50 of 111, 44%, when Penric meets Learned Retaka: "Olive Street was marginally less crooked and narrow than its surrounding streets, alleys… passages. The dwellings on this southwest side were much cut-up by time and their residents, many to overcrowded chambers for, if not poor, working men and women and their families." Enjoyed it, as ever. Hope this helps?
