Lisa See I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write back. I temporarily forgot about Goodreads! Sidetracked by life!

I absolutely travel in China for inspiration and to do my research. For my next novel, The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane, I spent time in the tea mountains of Yunnan. Beautiful!

Xi'an is not only great but it's also a great jumping off point to many places in China. Lucky you!

Was super excited to see that we can ask you questions here! I've read all of your historical fiction books and am obsessed with every one. I've yet to find an author that can quite measure up. My absolute favorites are the ones based in old China, like Peony in Love. You mentioned to another reader you don't currently have plans to write for a similar time period, but do you have any recommendations?

I'm almost out of your novels to read, and I'm holding off on reading "Peony in Love", the only one I haven't read yet, because I simply don't know what to do once I've finished it. Do you have any recommendations for me that I can look forwards to after this last novel? Good historical fiction books on China, or on anything else? Your picture surprised me and I would never guess that you are of Chinese heritage. I love your books but I have to tell you that I want more about the family connected to Tea Girl. I really didn't like how it ended and wanted more. I'm so glad she found her mother but but but ...lol Have you ever considered writing a sequel to this? When this virus lifts, I'll go to Boston's Chinatown to taste teas. Thanks!
