I found book 3 hard going and missed the characters who weren't in this one. It does get a bit better towards the end and has some plot links with book 5 as they happen at the same time - book 5 is a lot better so its worth powering through to get back to the good characters

I did not enjoy this one in the beginning but stuck with it and loved it by the end. I also love the world so much that I don't care if there are spoilers, or if the plot on the show is the same or different. I'm just so happy to inhabit the Seven Kingdoms that I keep reading!
