Hi Mary, Now that you are on the other end of the dream to becoming a writer (the successful and accomplished end :) ), can you tell me - was it a difficult industry to get in to? Do you have any recommendations for other aspiring writers?

Mary Kubica It was very difficult and took two years and many, many, many rejections before I found an agent. That said, stick with it and don't give up! It only takes one agent to love your work, so keep at it until you find the one who does. Every other agent (hundreds!) passed on The Good Girl, and only one offered to represent it. Best of luck to you! And make sure your query letter really stands out. Sometimes that's all they will read, so it has to be your very best and hook those agents right away.
