I loved The Good Girl! Having spent plenty of time in Chicago and the suburbs growing up, I could so easily see the world you created. I've written my first novel and now it's time to edit. It's such a daunting task and I don't know where to begin! What does your editing process look like?

Mary Kubica Editing is daunting! I go through a couple times myself, but truly, I feel it's vital then to share with someone else - a friend, parent, spouse, sibling, writing partner, etc - to get another's opinion (some you trust!). Often times the best feedback comes from the outside. As writers, we often have blinders on and sometimes need that nudge from someone else to point out what is and isn't working in our manuscripts.
