A Goodreads user asked Miranda Kenneally:

Which one of your characters can you relate to the most?

Miranda Kenneally There's a bit of me in each of my characters, but they are also all very different from me. For each book I write, I try to create a different type of girl with different problems because I want lots of girls to "get" something out of my books. I relate to some of my characters more than others. I don't really relate to Jordan, because I am not good at football and I don't understand it very well, but I wish I were her! I also wish I was like Savannah - she's a badass horse jockey and has a very strong attitude. I have a hard time telling people what's really on my mind in real life. I avoid conflict, unlike Savannah. Like Annie, I was terrible at running at first, but then I came to love it. I was similar to Kate when I was younger in that I didn't understand that other people didn't share my same beliefs. It was a rude awakening when I figured that out. I am probably most like Parker in that I worry a lot about what other people think of me, when I know I shouldn't. Thank you for the question!
