Am I right in saying that the blurb for this book... is not for this book...?

Robert 'Rev. Bob' The blurb I see (about CAN and nanomachines) is actually the beginning of the book, not a real summary.

Basically, once you've read Wool and know how that story ends, Shift goes back to the beginning to show you how the setting came to be, as well as a prior uprising and Solo's backstory. Dust rounds out the trilogy by finally picking up from the end of Wool (and Shift) to move all the story arcs forward.
Heather C I'm reading (listening) to it right now and agree. When I read this description/blurb, it barely registered as having anything to do with the story. It is a small, background type event that - while enabling the more significant plots - certainly doesn't serve to summarize "Shift".
Kim Weiss The blurb is correct except that this is actually a prequel to Wool rather than a sequel.
Beverley Thanks Rev. Bob for the insight. I am so into this series! I love the twists and turns. And you are correct about "The Crow." At least in my eyes
