How does Robin McKinley's writings influence your stories? She's a long time favorite author of mine, too.

Jeffe Kennedy I think it can be difficult to pin down an exact "how." I've been reading her ever since I ran across DEERSKIN by accident. That book really blew me away, with how she took the familiar fairy tale structure, then wove in all the ugly, behind-doors human twistiness that the the story gloss covers. So, when I wrote THE MARK OF THE TALA, I wanted to do something like that - start with the shiny pretty and then gradually reveal what can lurk beneath that. Hmm. Maybe it's more specific than I thought!

I love how well you tied everything together throughout the books, really amazing story telling! I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
