I cannot stop thinking about this book. It is a life changer. Just after I finished it, I decided to finally read The Kite Runner. My 10th grade son had to read it for school. When that book came out, I was a Teen Librarian, and so my every extra minute was consumed with adding to my teen literature vault so that I could recommend books to kids. So together these books have just about blown my mind!?

What a tremendous message. Thank you! And I'm so thrilled you went on to read The Kite Runner. Brilliant. And A Thousand Splendid Sons even more brilliant and mind-blowing. Or at least my mother and I thought it was. So much to read now! I'm actually in an adult book group where we read teen literature. Given that you were a Teen Librarian, I would love to know some of your top teen recommendations: new books and classics.

We haven't spoken for a while but I just read your reply about When Breathe Becomes Air and have just started it. I hope your book is coming along nicely. I have read some wonderful books so far this year I hope this one is as good as everyone says it is. A Little Life nearly destroyed me, what a story. I love reading what other people think of your book, you have helped so many, better than any review from a critic?
