J K Rowling said that she knew the ending to Harry's story when she started writing book one. What is your writing process? Do you spend time planning out or allow it to flow first and change it with edits?

Malorie Blackman I'm a planner. I like to know where I'm going with a story so I plot them out first before I write a word of the first chapter. That said, some plot points can and do change whilst I'm writing. A story may take on a life of its own and that's a good thing.
