Laurie asked Lynn Cahoon:

How do you plot out your stories? Storyboards, post it notes, outlines? And how do you turn an idea for a story into an entire book?

Lynn Cahoon Hi Laurie,

I do a bare bones outline and add to it as I go, which helps me keep track of the loose threads I need to tie up before typing The End. I'm intrigued by Scrivener, a story boarding tool, but I haven't had time to play with the program yet, so for now, it's pen and ink plotting for me.

Besides, doing it old school helps my brain (or muse) work by writing down the info...

As far as taking an idea - you have to have more than one. I tend to look for three threads (plot and sub plots) before I'm ready to start actually writing. Sometimes, I have to write to find the additional threads. :) So far, that's worked the best for me.

Thanks for the questions!
