How many books do you anticipate in this series? Or is it a matter of where the story arc and characters take you? I'm hoping that are many more: I really enjoy the world and characters that you've brought to life. Thanks!

I am so glad you enjoyed the Twelve Systems and its inhabitants. I finished drafting the story arc before The Cartel was published. When I started, I thought it would be a trilogy. Lucius, Lilian, Trevelyan, Rebecca, Chrys - they had their own ideas. They also made me finish drafting the story arc before the Cartel was published. So, I don't have to worry about writing myself into a corner, but I do have a lot of work to do on the Chronicles. Right now, I expect Lilian to finish her apprenticeship in another three books, and then there are three after that. Maybe four.

E.G., I am now 40% into Transgressions, and am thoroughly enjoying how much you have elaborated on your world building of these 12 Systems you have created. Have you been expanding the intricacies of this universe you have created as you write each book, or did you do all of your world building first, and then created Lillian's story within it?
