If Alina and Darkling actually get together, its gonna be an Empress/Emporer relationship with them taking over the world with their love and slowly suffocating those who disagree

But Alina and Mal would have a really tensed relationship because Alina is almost always going to feel like she's being held back and not living up to her full potential and that he isn't either...
