OMG YESSS!!! I freaking love Darkling. I mean he can be a total evil dick, but there’s just something about him when he’s with Alina. Together they just make sense. And to be honest I can’t see Alina with Mal, I feel like they have more of a brother sister relationship, I can’t see them as lovers.

to be honest, i know that it happens in a load of other books but i just find the thousand years long age gap and the character of the Darkling creepy, I think if the intimate bit in the first book didn't happen, I would find it a lot less gross- but then again Mal+Alina is cute but unrealistic and you can see she's not going to be able to stay with him as a partner. -Anyway just my opinion....

Nope! My friend and I are in the same boat, however, she hasn't met Nikolai yet, so her feelings might change... But for me, I ship The Darkling and Alina, but I also love the Nikolai/ Alina ship, so I'm really just confused. But I would love it at the end of the series if he had a redemption, but I don't see it ending like that.
