Goodreads asked Christopher Moore:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Christopher Moore I just keep going back to the page, from every angle, until I come out the other side. As a pro, you really can't give writer's block the credibility of having a name. I call it "being stuck," because it's my job, and it has to be a temporary condition if I'm going to do my job. Garrison Keillor says that writer's block comes from expecting yourself to be too good, and I think that sounds spot on. If you allow that what you're going to write is crap, you may be able to drive yourself out of a ditch. If you want to sail off on a carpet of spun gold, you're going to be in the ditch for a while.
