We have a cat named Cracker and a dog named Sadie. The cat adopted us last fall when it showed up on our doorstep. He's a good hunter, though he's a bit skittish and likes to sleep on the dog's face. Sadie is very sweet and loving, though she's terrible at playing fetch. Mostly she just takes the stick and lays down with it. She's never understood that she's supposed to bring the stick back to us!

I have read all of your books multiple times and now I can't read anything else! My favorite is the Ascendance Series!! I hope Sage will eventually enter your mind again for more books! Thank you so much for all your great work :) I have recently started writing a book on my own, so I had one question. How do you make the characters sound so formal when they talk? Like instead of how teens would talk nowadays?
