Val Susannah, I think you need to read the last 20 pages of this very short book and rewrite your review. The author couldn't have done more to wrap up the plot than she did. I stress - you need to rewrite your negative review. It's simply not fair to the author or to readers who might be incorrectly turned off to this very good book by Hannah.

Janet Mahlum This is Susannah's opinion of the book. Just because some people think it is worth 4 or 5 stars does not mean Susannah must agree. She is entitled to her opinion. If this is the way she feels about it, she doesn't have to sugar coat her opinion. Readers have the opportunity to read as many reviews as they want and then use their own judgment as to whether or not to read the book. I would rather have someone's honest review than something untrue.

Marie I agree. I felt like the ending was lack-luster, predictable and flat. I really enjoyed most of the book, but I am definitely disappointed with the ending. The father, the whole kidnapping, the relationships were all tied up in neat little, simple packages..too simple, too easy.

Nes all of your question is answered on this book perhaps you didn't finish it because it was clearly stated up to the end what exactly happened to the man who abduct alice and her mother.
