Marleen asked Kathleen C. Perrin:

Hello Kathleen, What inspired you to become a writer? Where do you got or get your inspiration? Leentje

Kathleen C. Perrin Hi Leentje,
Thanks for your question. I have been writing all my life. I have written stories since I was a little girl, I constantly have stories running through my mind, and I love words. I simply can't get all of my stories down on paper fast enough. If you go to my website at www.kathleencperrin.com then click on Blog (under "more"), then click on Dec 2014 and scroll to the bottom of the page, you will find a blog entry posted on 12/9/2014 entitled: "Of Words . . . " This tells a little of how my parents' experience of living through WWII inspired me to write. Today, my inspiration comes from my love of France, her beauties, and especially her mysteries. My husband is French, I speak French, and we have a little cottage in Brittany, so I get to do a lot of exploring in France!
I also find that inspiration comes to me in that phase of sleep just between being fully asleep and fully awake. When it happens, I jump out of bed, and get those ideas on paper before they are gone. My only limitation in writing is not a lack of inspiration. Rather, it's a lack of time. I just don't have enough time for writing because I not only work as a translator, but I have a full busy life with family, friends, hobbies, and Church responsibilities. I've never been bored and I have to carve out time to dedicate to writing. Thanks for your interest!
Kathleen
