This book sounds a lot like How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life. Anyone else agree?

I agree, the book reminded me of the Opal Mehta book and about the author, Kavya Viswanathan . It seems like Reshma is a mix of both Opal and Kavya.
