Honestly, Rosie, I'm not great with titles. Sometimes I think of a cool one and it sticks all the way to publication, but most of the time, my editor asks me to go back to the drawing board. To me, a good title is memorable, high concept in its feel, and says something about the book. Sometimes I get there quickly, but usually this takes a while.

Hello Jennifer Nielsen! I just finished reading the Mark of the Thief trilogy and I absolutely love it! One of the things I love about your writing is that you kind of use reverse dramatic irony; the character knows something the reader doesn't, like when Nic knew about his relations to Radulf. I was wondering, do you plan all three books out at once, or just go with it, because everything ends up coming together?
