I am halfway thru this book and still cannot get a 'grip' on the ages of Connie (okay deceased now), Rose and Enigma. Enigma is a grandma and Connie & Rose are her stepmothers???? ... guess I just wasn't concentrating enough in the beginning during character development???

Enigma is 72 and Margie is 55...but never any references to her being a teen mother. And Margie and Laura's children are all in their mid 30s. There's a reference to Enigma being gray-haired when the children were young...but she would have been 40 at most!(less)
