Given the time jump, Will had almost twenty years with Alyss before her death, and while it happened fast for the reader, there are opportunities for more stories to share those silent years, should the author decide to tell them. I was sad, but I have enjoyed the book so far (I'm half way through), and look forward to the rest.(less)
