I was disappointed in this book. I'm sorry I chose it for one of my book clubs. Thought there was WAY too much science. If Kingsolver wants to write a book about global warming, then she should do a work of non-fiction, IMHO. I have been enjoying her more recent works less and less -- oh, for another "Prodigal Summer" or "Poisonwood Bible". Anyone feel the same?

Totally disagree. I thought the balance was excellent. And I think it is the job of novelists to tackle serious issues like - they may make people who wouldn't read NF aware of and think about serious issues like this. A terrific book.

I know global warming is a problem but this book was very much "in your face" about it.
