"The Haunting of Maddie Claire" was the book that first ensnared me and I have loved everyone you've written that I have read since! Do you find that writing about a place that you don't live it in creates a bigger need for historical research? If so, how much research do you do on average before each book?

I do several months of research for each book. I tend to do research and put together the story idea at the same time, so by the time I start writing, I have a really good idea of what the book is going to be :)

I finished the "The Broken Girls", several months ago and just loved it! I was floored with how the tone of the "The Broken Girls" is completely different from your books set in the 1920's England. You really took me back to the era and I just loved The Other Side of Midnight & Silence for the Dead. Have you thought about settings in other time periods?
