Hi Ruta, I recently finished an ARC of Salt to the Sea and it was absolutely stunning. I wasn't aware of what it was about until I finished it, and I was wondering; do you hope to educate people who think they're reading fiction on these 'unheard-of' events, or do you hope to attract people who already know these things - or do you just write for the love of it? I want to give voice to those who will never have a chance to tell their story. In terms of targeting readers, I'd like to reach both people who are unfamiliar with the topics, and also those who are. People who know about the topics can add to the conversation and bring dimension to the hidden history.

I have read all three of your books and absolutely love them! I am currently in high school and am interested in possibly writing plays and musicals when I'm older. Hi! First I want to say you have become one of my favorite authors over the last year, all three of your books have been fantastic! Question: Are you currently working on a new book and if so, can you hit at what it might be about? Maybe just a time period reference? I'm hoping you'll write another book like Out of the Easy! It was such an interesting read with such a fantastic main character!
