Hello Ruta! You are my favourite author and you write my favourite genre-world war II-beautifully. I love your characters, especially Nikolai and Florian. Thank you so much for spending so much time perfecting these books. They really changed my life and I cannot be happier. My questions is, will you be writing more WWII related books? Thank you so much for your kind words! I will be touring Canada for the first time in May. I don't yet have exact dates but when I do I will post them on my website and other social accounts.
I have a list of 26 ideas for books and yes, many of them are in fact WWII books. So yes, you will most likely see more of those from me. And probably more characters like Florian and Nikolai. :)

Ruta Sepetys, First of all I would like to say that your book Between Shades of Gray was obviously beautifully written. I couldn't put it down. On regards to that book, how do you create the personalities for your characters? Are they based off of real people? Do you get random inspirations for different characters? The characters that you portray in your books are so fascinating and lively! Thank you for your time!
