Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Chris Fasolino Men of Promise is a seafaring adventure story, and it was inspired by the theme of exploration. I love the seafaring genre, but I noticed that most books focused on naval warfare. I felt that maritime exploration, another fascinating aspect of nautical history, would be a great topic for an adventure series. So, I created the character of Captain Bowman West, a Royal Navy captain who loves the ocean, but who is weary of warfare. He wants to sail to the edge of the map. In this book, his voyage takes him to the South China Sea.
