Still waiting for your new book to come out!!! :) what was the first book you read that made you think "wow that was amazing"? I have always read a little but of this and a little bit of that. Mostly corny teen books, but then I picked up firefly lane and you got me hooked. I put down that book and thought to myself "wow". I would like to thank you for opening my eyes to something new.

Hi Jackie! Thanks for asking a question. :) The first book that really, truly blew me away was Charlie and the Chocolate factory. It was dark and emotional and so unique. I also loved the Oz books as a girl. The first "grown up" book that rocked me was Lord of the Rings. Next came The Shining and Stranger in a Strange Land. I still remember them all so well!

I know that when I start one of your books I won't be able to put it down! Do you take a break between books? How long does it normally take to write a book?
