I really enjoyed "Thanks For the Trouble". I was wondering if Ursula K. Le Guin was a big influence on you or if that was just Parker? And also, why does the guy on the cover not look at all Latin?

Ha! Great questions.
#1: Absolutely. Le Guin is one of my heroes. That first Earthsea book is in my top 3 favorite fantasy novels. It manages to feel allegorical and literal at the same time. In a similar way, her more adult books manage to toe the line between fun romp and social commentary as well as anyone ever has.
#2: I hear you. I complained about this myself after I saw it. I wasn't invited to the shoot, so I had literally no control over it. But yeah: boo.

do you realize that atheism doesn't make you a better man ? you're the living proof of it. yes there have been countless wars because of religions. the same could be said about money still we don't see you writing essays about it. your essay was so far from being nuanced but you still probably thought it was a controversial idea when it's actually very conformist. what a disappointment.

So, I've loved your books for a while and was listening to your album and noticed that Natural disaster ended with the line, "We all looked up to see that ball of fire again come crashing down" Is this at all a hint to what happened at the end of the book? I know you like leaving that sense of mystery which is why I fell in love with the book, but now I am so intrigued!
The song was beautiful by the way!
Thanks!

I was wondering if you have any story ideas such as characters, items, or places that you've thrown out or given up on that I can use for one of my stories? The story that I'm thinking of is about an island where all story bits end up if they are thrown out or given up on. I've asked other authors so I can get a variety and some truth to the story. It's fine if you don't want to share any. Thanks. ~Hannah
