Goodreads asked Eddie D. Moore:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Eddie D. Moore The best thing about being a writer is getting to live in your own fantasy world at least for short periods of time. Books have always been an escape from reality for me. The same is true for writing. Having family problems? Are the bills getting to you? Would you rather eat your shoes than go to work tomorrow? A good book or writing a story will let you set all of these things out of mind for a while. (Warning: Don't ignore any of those problems completely. It requires work to deal with personal and professional relationships and living on a budget is a must to deal with financial issues. Writing and reading are only a temporary escapes.)
