Are you able to make a living from writing? I note that mention writing full-time in Istanbul.

Hi Mel! Wouldn't it be great if all writers could make a living from writing? But alas, that's not always possible. And certainly isn't the case for me. I am lucky enough that my royalties are increasing each month. Who knows? Maybe some day I'll be able to say that it's a living.
