Hi Mr. Grant, I was just wondering how you first got the idea for the Gone series? I love them so much!

Michael Grant I was mostly thinking about the TV show LOST, and how it was basically a Robinson Crusoe story. And then how Robinson Crusoe is basically the same story as the biblical expulsion from Egypt. And I thought, hmmm, interesting. . . And that was about it.
