Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Raechal Evett Cliché though it may be, it was a dream. I have a notebook full of story ideas, and a trunk of stories that I've written throughout my childhood, but the one that stuck came from a torrid dream one night.
It turns out that the story evolved dramatically, and in the end only retained a few main points from the original vivid tale.
