I love to write but I find it difficult to do anything but contemporary. I would love to do something sci-fi/ dystopian but I'm not sure how to create a world that people will like. Any suggestions?

Lindsay Cummings World building is tough. I'd suggest reading some of the greatest scifi books out there, depending on the genre (YA, Adult, NA, etc), and really get a feel for how those authors built their worlds. Read, read, read. Then allow yourself to dive in and really CREATE!
