Goodreads asked James H. Peterson III:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

James H. Peterson III The best advise I can give was said very well by others. But it goes something like this; be mindful of your own art and always make it your own, submit-submit-submit, and do not wait on others to do things for you.

Jesse Stuart, poet, novelist, and teacher wrote; "Write something to suit yourself and many people will like it; write something to suit everybody and scarcely anyone will care for it."

Isaac Asimov, novelist, physicist, and teacher wrote; "You must keep sending work out; you must never let a manuscript do nothing but eat its head off in a drawer. You send that work out again and again, while you're working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success - but only if you persist."

And I, James H. Peterson III, novelist and teacher write; "Learn marketing early and be prepared to do it all yourself. A book without an audience is just a stack of paper."
