Goodreads asked Bill Blume:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Bill Blume I'm blessed with a wife who has always encouraged me as a writer, and I'm grateful for that and the added support from our children. In order to get something written, I've made a lot of selfish choices to make time for myself to go write when others might use that time to be with their family. The first time my wife and kids attended a book release of mine (which was for Gidion's Hunt), I found myself overcome with an unexpected relief that they could finally see what I'd been working towards all this time, that it was something real and attainable. Being able to have that moment, something I didn't even know I was working towards, will probably always be the best thing for me about being a writer.
