I would like to know how much research you did and how historically accurate is the book. For instance, was there really a separate concentration camp for women rebels?

"Atonement" by Ian McEwan shares that much of his storylines were influenced by letters stored in the Imperial War Museum in London. "I Survived the Nazi Invasion of 1944" is a children's book by Lauren Tarshis and she provide many links to the influences to her story about jewish partisans in WWII. Kristin Hannah having a 4-page Acknowledgements in the back of her novel with no mention of the true, historical figures is upsetting. I bet you she took the narrative about the women in the work camps from some survivors' memoir, interview as well. Also reference Andree de Jongh and Irene Nemirovsky for historical heros and victims in France during WWII.(less)
