Richard Wolkomir asked Jay Cutts:

Hi Jay--I've lost two responses to your message to me re. Sinnabar. Does this channel work? Goodreads neophyte, and still mess up. Many thanks for your kind words. Greatly appreciated. Wil Deft has a different feel, different world, but I hope you enjoy it--Tobi the dog makes his appearance there. Terry Pratchett--a favorite. For brilliance, and his genius for humor. I wouldn't even try. Thanks, Jay--Richard

Jay Cutts Hi, Richard. It's wonderful to hear from you. I recently finished Wil Deft and truly loved it even more than Sinnabar. I sort of wish I'd read it first. I felt that Wil Deft really approaches the status of a classic tale. Very complex. Very moving. A whole universe of intrigue and possibilities. I'll check out your other works. If you haven't already, I hope you will write true sequels to Wil Deft. I think you've invented a universe you can do wonderful things with! As for Terry Pratchett, I can't say that I've tried to emulate him but rather that my natural style leans in that direction and I hope I've capture human nature in a similarly light hearted way in my two novels - Death by Haggis and Annie Gomez and the Gigantic Foot of Doom. Thanks so much for writing to me. I'm inspired, impressed, and deeply intrigued by your writing.
