I loved "The Tortilla Curtain", it was a thoughtful piece of work. Of all your novels and stories, which one or ones are the most strongly influenced or inspired by your personal experiences?

T. Coraghessan Boyle I don't write much by way of autobiographical stories since my life is so placid (just the way I like it) and, more or less, private. But stories like "Greasy Lake" or "Up Against the Wall" use autobiographical elements.
