What you said about trying to get into the head of a schizophrenic shooter leads to my question. It seems the more unique characters are, the more extreme the plot twists that their interactions engender. I have the sense that as much as you are getting into the heads of your characters, they must inhabit your head in a pretty dynamic way. Would you comment on your interior sturm und drang?

I like the way you approach this issue, Susan. As I have said, I am merely following the story to find out what it means. I discover Adam as I go along, each piece of the big jigsaw puzzle leaving room for the next. My sturm und drang happens only in the fever of composition. Otherwise, I am an innocent.

I was curious as to your observations (if any) to changes in your neighborhood since Harry & Meghan invaded---I mean 'moved' into the area? I equate their presence to 'invasive carp' - fish that are causing their own brand of trouble by altering natural ecosystems.

I have read just about everything you've written, but I still haven't gotten over World's End and the magic you conjured out of the Hudson River Valley. Don't you think the Left Coast has had it's due? Can you return to your roots, please?
