Tom: As a writer and fellow sufferer, I know what it takes to produce superb sentence after sentence, as you have done throughout your career. I have read just about everything you've written, but I still haven't gotten over World's End and the magic you conjured out of the Hudson River Valley. Don't you think the Left Coast has had it's due? Can you return to your roots, please?

T. Coraghessan Boyle How kind of you, Steve. I go where the stories take me. "The Terranauts" is set just northeast of Tucson. The new story, "Warrior Jesus," is set in the Hudson Valley. If I find a subject in New York (or anywhere else) I'll go there.
P.S. So's one of the other new new ones, "Subtract One Death."
