That I did not know. I read a good bit of anthropology type stuff, but I've actually never read any Joseph Campbell. Sounds interesting, though. Where would be a good place to start? Power of Myth is his biggie, right?

Any chance of a short story or novella that takes place in the after life, and from Margaret's point of view? Or maybe featuring one of the other librarians? Maybe the twins? The book was such a fantastic read, I'll admit I'm really just hoping for more of anything in the universe. It boggles my mind that this was a first book!

Hi Mr. Hawkins, I really REALLY enjoyed the LIbrary at Mount Char. I'd never quite read a book like it. I was ready to give up halfway through but once the threads started coming together I was hooked. I was wondering who your influences were (I have a guess of one or two but I want to see if i'm right!) and what the inspiration behind the story was. Thank you! ?
