Could someone please explain the end to me? I listened to this book on tape so I can't go back and read it. I could listen to it again but it got so long and boring toward the end I don't want to listen to it again. Do they die? Are they rescued? Help! Thank you.

I would recommend it for adults who wish to see one of the largest platforms for propaganda as an ending to a novel that held mystery and promise and dropped a boulder on anyone's heart with the weak ending for good fiction, a good ending for propagandistic purpose.
