Back in my school days, my English courses required writing an essay every day of class. So, three years of daily, mandatory, timed essays had their effect on me -- thank you Mrs. Hamilton!
Sometimes I feel quite inspired and can even write while carrying on a conversation with someone on an unrelated topic (while excusing my self so not to appear rude -- I just need to finish this chapter!) Sometimes, I don't feel quite so inspired and slog through it. And sometimes, it's a chore that I force myself to do -- those times, I usually re-write later.
