Kaaren Matthewson
Kaaren Matthewson asked Liane Moriarty:

hello Liane ive not long read What Alice Forgot and i thoroughly enjoyed it - what a great idea you had for this novel, losing the last 10 years. I would like to know when you are writing - do you already have the whole idea of the book in your head or does it come to you as you write? ive often wondered this about a lot of books ive read and how the authors structure their books? kind regards Kaaren

Liane Moriarty Some authors work with detailed plans, but I'm not one of them Kaaren, I I just come up with the premise and start writing and hope that I can work out a way to end it. The ending normally comes to me about 2/3 of the way through a book, just when I am feeling very panicky.
